GIOVANNI
BARBATO - 1st Violin
Born in Neaples
in the 1972,he started
to play violin at
the age of 7. He
studied with Prof.
Angelo Gaudino at
the "Conservatorio
di Musica San Pietro
a Majella di Napoli".
Since '96 he won
national and international
competitions. He
made mastercourses
with the Profs Corrado
Romano(Geneve),
Salvatore Accardo
(Walter Stauffer-Cremona,
Italy) and Franco
Gulli (Indiana University
- Bloomington, USA).
He finished his
studies with a Soloist
Diploma at the "Musik
Akademie der Stadt
Basel" with
Prof. Adelina Oprean.
He was often invited
to play solo-concerts
with orchestra and
recitals in South
America (Argentina
and Uruguay). Today
he works with several
ensembles in Europe,
including the "Silencio
Tango" and
the "Marcelo
Nisinman Trio".
He plays in Sinfonie
Orchester Basel
with a zeit vertrag
in the 1th violin,
in the Aargauer
Sinfonie orchestra
and he is Concertmeister
of the Orchestre
Sinfonique du Jura.
His versatility
and his musicality
brings Giovanni
Barbato to interpreted
from Bach until
the tango.
Today
he works with several
ensembles in Europe,
including the "Marcelo
Nisinman Trio".
