ROGER HELOU - Piano, Arrangements Roger Helou founded Silencio and works as director of the group. He grew up in Buenos Aires, where he experimented on different kinds of popular styles: Tango, Bossa-nova, Jazz.. Later, his interests turned to the study of traditional Tango music, focused on writing arrangements for orquestras, and smaller formations. He played in Europe with Tango-ensembles like: Trio Miguel De Caro, Miguel Fernandez, Alfredo Marcucci and Sexteto Veritango, Ensamble Hyperion. Since 2003 he leads, as a teacher, regular courses and workshops about tango playing, in the city of Paris. He works since 2005 as arranger and pianist for the famous "Cuarteto Cedron" in Buenos Aires, with wich he recorded a new CD. He lives nowadays in Buenos Aires.
